Creating simple designs using silver sheet and wire. A perfect introduction to silversmithing.
You can make your pieces in 925 Silver, brass or copper… or a combination. Option to make dangle earrings (hooks) or a pendant.
Learn to hand saw, file, manufacture hooks, as well as texture your earrings using hammering and/or stamping and complete the finishing process of sanding and polishing with patina if desired.
This is a 4hr workshop, running from 9am to 1pm. You’ll go home with a pair of earrings OR a pendant that YOU designed and created!
Up to 15 grams of silver is included to use on the day for use during the workshop, brass and copper provided. Additional silver will be charged per gram on the day if required.
Talvi will provide an apron and a student tool kit with everything you need for the day as well as morning tea.
Please wear appropriate clothing that won't tangle in equipment, and long hair is required to be tied back when using electric tools.
Please bring a drink bottle with you.
Take advantage of the many cafes, restaurants and wineries in the area for lunch afterward.
