As gold prices fluctuate, your quotation is an estimate based on the current market price. A more current price will be confirmed and paid for one week prior to your workshop, with the final balance calculated using the finished weight of your completed rings.
The workshop:
This Wedding Ring Making Workshop runs over two seperate days, the 1st being about 4hrs and the 2nd about 2hrs for finishing.
This is an opportunity for you and your partner to create your own customised rings unique to you, in a relaxed environment.
What this workshop is:
Perfect for the minimalist, more simple designs, meaningfully made by you. Achieve rugged textures, organic styles, fingerprint impressions. Embrace the unique, handmade imperfections.
What this workshop isn't:
Fine jewellery styles, perfectly finished bling, diamonds, glitz and glam.
Your ring making journey will be casual and light-hearted, it will be photographed for you throughout the course of the workshop and photos sent to you, so you can look back on the experience.
On the day you'll be provided with all the tools you need, aswell as coffee, tea and hot chocolate. A cheese/grazing platter with a selection of meats and anti pasto is provided for your lunch and some desserts to finish off the day! Catered by our local friends at Badger Creek Blueberry Winery & St Ronans Cider!
LOST WAX METHOD: You'll hand carve your rings from wax 1st, this method is perfect to personalise your rings! It allows for fingerprint impressions, scribing and organic textures and styles.
They'll be sent offsite for casting by professional jewellery casters in Melbourne, you'll have the option of coming back to finish them yourselves, by filing, sanding and polishing them or have them finished by Asha at the studio and come back to collect them and make sure the sizing is just right.
