Wedding Ring Workshop

Make your wedding rings truly special by crafting them yourself at TALVI's private workshop at the foot of Mt Riddell, Yarra Valley.

This half day Wedding Ring Making Workshop offers the opportunity for you and your partner to create your own customised rings with your choice of silver or gold.

What this workshop is: Perfect for the minimalist,  more simple designs, meaningfully made by you. Embrace the unique, handmade imperfections. 

What this workshop isn't: Fine jewellery styles, perfectly finished bling, diamonds, glitz and glam.

Your ring making journey will be casual and light-hearted, it will be photographed for you throughout the course of the workshop and photos sent to you, so you can look back on the experience.  

On the day you'll be provided with all the tools you need,  aswell as unlimited coffee, tea and hot chocolate. A cheese/grazing platter with a selection of meats and anti pasto is provided for your lunch and some desserts to finish off the day! Catered by our mates at Badger Creek Blueberry Winery & St Ronans Cider.

Choose from Hand Formed, Sand Cast or Lost Wax.

HAND FORMED : You'll walk away with your rings on the day. This is best for a simple band, formed from wire. You can hammer texture or stamp these to give them your personal touch. This option is more like a 6hr workshop.

SAND CAST: A one day workshop, working with molten metal and sand, you'll create one of a kind simple bands with unique sand grain texture. Rugged, organic and nature inspired. If there's time left in the day after learning and executing your pours you can do the finishing process yourselves, or Asha can get to work finishing them for you to either take home on the day or come back for (time depending). Please note sand casting methods is for silver rings only.  

LOST WAX: You'll hand carve your rings from wax 1st, then they'll be sent offsite for casting in Silver or Gold by professional jewellery casters in Melbourne, you'll have the option of coming back to finish them yourselves,  by filing, sanding and polishing them or have them finished by Asha at the studio, for that professional finish and come back to collect them and make sure the sizing is just right! This method is perfect for Signet rings, rings with personality, fingerprint impressions and organic styles.

Both rings 9CT GOLD - Price TBC, getting current quote.

For 18ct gold pricing please contact for a quote. 

Up to 15grams of 925 Silver per ring is included in the pricing, and up to 5 grams of 9ct gold or 18ct gold per ring. For rings that weigh more than this,  you will be charged per gram at cost price ontop of the allowance.
